Description
1965 48' Chris-craft motor-yacht, One of the only 35 steel hull Roamers made and one of the the only three registered steel hull Roamers on the Chris-craft antique registry.
I bought this classic yacht in Sebastian Fla in Nov 2009.
I motored up through the canals and Okeechobe in Florida, crossed the Northern-most cut of the gulf until I reached the inter-coastal and then motored through it from New Orleans to Galveston, TX, where it is currently docked at the Galveston Yacht Club. I was going to remodel the boat as a live aboard project, but I'm 71 years old and after getting started realized it is too big of a job for me.
Again, the boat is in the water in Galveston at the Galveston Yacht Club, it does need some repair to stop a couple of minor leaks. Engines need cleaning and some work. The hull was replated, copper painted, and new zincs were installed last year before the move from Sebastian.
I am willing to consider a cash offer , a trade of a smaller boat (that doesn’t require me to work on it) and cash, or a trade of a smaller boat (still, not requiring me to work on it)
I feel that my asking price is a steal for someone that is willing to invest the time and effort in it to restore it. I am open to creative offers.
