Description
You won't find one of these on your lake.
Designed by Virgil Exner, famous for his automotive designs for Chrysler Corporation in the 60's and his boat designs for Riva of Italy and Buehler Turbocraft, pioneers in jet powered boats.
( see http://www.madle.org/exnrjr.htm ).
This "Bar Harbour" model bears a striking resemblence to Mr Exners design of the 1966 Dodge Charger muscle cars.
She is all fiberglass and powered by an original fully rebuilt Chrysler Marine 426 cu. in. wedge V8 engine, coupled to a Hamilton 3 stage turbine jet pump.
Originally built by Buehler Turbocraft Corporation, of Indianapolis, Indiana, this was their largest fiberglass model and only seven were ever built. THIS IS THE ONLY ONE NOW KNOWN TO EXIST TODAY. It was originally imported into Canada for EXPO 67. Found in 2005, Rumble has undergone a complete "bottom up" restoration to original show condition. A custom built tendem trailer is also included, plus a spare jet pump. This is a real showboat and head turning fun boat on the water. Not a daily driver. There is no other sound like a Buehler. Restoration cost was over $40,000 excluding labour.
I am asking $32,000US or would consider a trade.
