Description
(PRICE REDUCED AGAIN!! & FREE SHIPPING up to 400
miles!!) About 2 1/2 years ago, I purchased the
Sea Lord,
a
1959, 46 foot Chris Craft Constellation. The Sea
Lord was launched and used every year, along with
being stored and cared for contiuously under the
same covered slip at Brand's Marina, Port
Clinton,
OH, since new. I took ownership in November 2005.
My family and I have so very much enjoyed
cruising
with her on Lake Erie for the past 2006 and 2007
seasons. She was lifted from Lake Erie by Brand's
Marina's crew in August of 2007, loaded onto my
semi boat trailer and moved to our family
farmstead in southeastern North Dakota. Before
the
move the Sea Lord was shrink wrapped and sealed
for the off season while on board the trailer,
where she still remains in storage at our farm
near Verona, ND.
The Sea Lord's interior in completely original
with beautiful mahogany doors, paneling and trim.
Chris Craft furnishings along with other unique
pieces will remain on board at the time of sale.
The salon and galley headliner was recently
replaced. Both heads are in proper working order.
The teak forward and aft decks are sound and in
good condition structurally, but need
refinishing.
The deck cover boards were replaced and finished
in 2004. The hand rails were also refinished at
that time. The lee clothes covering the hand
rails
and removable canvas bridge enclosure are custom
made and mildew free. A small amount of dry rot
does exist on the starboard and port sides next
to
the transom as well as in the middle of the bow;
all above the water line. She is 100% in
structure
and floor plan and has never been remodeled in
any
way as to not compromise her originality and
elegance.
Twin 200 HP Hercules WB engines power the Sea
Lord. They are in excellent condition and run
smoothly. All four of her Zenith carburators were
completely rebuilt in 2006. She has a 6.5kw Onan
gen set for offshore power. Also included is an
additional set of props which have a different
blade count and pitch to them. The Sea Lord has
two 150 gallon fuel tanks, one 100 gallon fresh
water tank and a 30 gallon holding tank.
My family and I have made the decision to sell
the
Sea Lord as we are committed to the purchase of
another wooden vessel that is much older and
larger and will accomodate our expanding family.
This decision was also made to avoid the risk of
being hurt by my wife of 35 years if I don't give
up one of the boats as much as I would like to
keep them both! Our plan was to cruise the Sea
Lord on the Missippippi River hailing from Red
Wing, Minnesota, launching and docking her at the
Ole Miss Marina located there. We had hoped to
enjoy the Mississippi, St.Croix, and Minnesota
rivers for the upcoming season and longer, before
further restoration would be necessary. Since the
opportunity to purchase the other vessel
presented
itself, we then decided to sell the Sea Lord.
I have reduced the selling price of the Sea Lord
from $25,000 to $17,500, to $15,000 or will
consider any
reasonable offer, in hopes of a more immediate
sale. At the time of sale, I will deliver her
FREE
of charge up to 400 miles in any direction from
our farmstead in southeastern North Dakota. This
would include the Minneapolis area which is 300
miles from my home. An additional charge of $5
per
loaded mile will be added for any miles over 400.
I will
provide photos via mail, email, CD or DVD to
serious parties only, if requested.
